Paul grapples with his guilt over the death of his daughter. Dive is a portrait of grief in an environmental thriller set onboard an offshore oil rig.

The high-pressure stakes and the audience’s emotional connection to Paul’s grief are the two main goals of the score. Rattling cellos, pitched-down ferry engines, organs, Gregorian choirs and an abundance of metallic percussion and found sound create the sonic landscape of the rig. The pressure mounts until the music twists into a final deadly hymn.
